Thanks to Juliet Turner, Brian Grace, Gerry Tully, An Troman (Trim), The Wine Buff (Navan), Martina Quinn, Glebe House, (Old Rectory), Butlers Chocolates, e2 Music, Christopher Flynn & Associates, Gasun Photography, Trim 2025, The Meath Chronicle, Sean Henderson, JaSE Films ….. and to “YOU“ who came for participating in such a historic, magical and enchanting evening of great food, wine and music from the incredible Juliet Turner. From the very first sip of wine from THE WINE BUFF NAVAN accompanied by the best Tapas in Ireland from AN TROMAN TRIM to the last joyful plucked note in the Butler Room, the atmosphere was electric as Juliet Turner and Brian Grace charmed their way into our hearts and into the very heart of the Glebe House itself! It was wonderful to hear the music, applause and shouts (of joy) from the audience echo through the historic house, the former home of Dean Richard Butler, Vicar of Trim. Thank You Juliet, Brian & Gerry for the Music!
And now, some photos from the evening which was dedicated to Trim photographer Danny O’ Brien and music promotor Derek Nally, originally from Warrenstown, Drumree, Co. Meath.

1.
I’ve been sitting here so long, for you to hear my song,
And all you want to know, have I been on the radio,
Who’s the biggest star I’ve seen, what is my favourite scene,
And if I get the job would I sing on Mars.
Yes Sir I would sing on Mars, I’d play upon a star,
I’d sing songs of the Sun and when my job was done,
I would say I love you so, I’d like to play one more,
Just for all young lovers, for the road.
Chorus
Tell me Son, yeah just how far,
I need to go to be a star.
2.
I have known my highs and lows, I’ve worked in every show,
I’ve played in every town, brought some houses down,
The critics never noticed me, I’m not a star you see,
And yet I give my heart to every part.
I would stand for hours and hours, I’d walk through some showers,
With my dancing shoes and my dreams and views,
I walk upon an empty stage with one light in my face,
To be told don’t phone us, but we’ll phone you.
Chorus
Tell me Son, yeah just how far,
I need to go to be a star.
3.
Every day the same old scene, the same old happenings,
A hundred miles of shows and no place to go,
And when your luck has all run out, you’re asked to take a bow,
You’ve just stolen the show now you’re on your own.
Chorus
Yes Sir I would sing on Mars,
My dream scene is me a star,
Is me a star,
I am a star.

Some photos from this event are published in INSPIRE MAGAZINE by The Meath Chronicle (December/Christmas edition – scroll to back pages for Meath social scene). You can see where our friend Danny O’ Brien retired his camera and lens at the Trim Balloon Fiesta 2010 on Porchfield. Both Danny and Derek are sorely missed by us all ….

Terry Cassidy from Trim won a mounted, framed, autographed live image of Juliet Turner taken in The Spirit Store, Dundalk in 2005. Photograph (s) by Enda Casey.
